She plays the iconic Scarlett O’Hara made famous by Margaret Mitchell’s book of the same name. The film is a powerful epic with many great performances by the whole cast but it belongs to the dynamic Vivien Leigh. His first real breakout role was as a hit man in a drama mystery called This Gun for Hire in 1942. He became a sensation and was a big star up to the late fifties before he died in 1964 from an apparent sleeping pill and alcohol overdose.
