She plays the iconic Scarlett O’Hara made famous by Margaret Mitchell’s book of the same name. The film is a powerful epic with many great performances by the whole cast but it belongs to the dynamic Vivien Leigh. SHANE (1953) (REVISITED)

For all you Clint Eastwood fans (and I’m one of them), once upon a time there was an actor by the name of Alan Ladd. His first real breakout role was as a hit man in a drama mystery called This Gun for Hire in 1942. He became a sensation and was a big star up to the late fifties before he died in 1964 from an apparent sleeping pill and alcohol overdose.
